A number of alarm apps support ending with NFC, you could use your brick as this NFC tag

It would need to be specialty because if it's bricked, then it doesn't produce notifications. But I like the way you think. Perhaps better still would be to build an alarm clock into the brick app that could only be turned off by unbricking.
