Location-based bricking and unbricking
Ellie Short
I'd love location-based triggers for both bricking and unbricking.
My specific use case:
At home = where I have the most trouble with phone addiction → brick automatically when I arrive
Out of the house (office, seeing friends) = I'm present, not tempted, and may genuinely need apps I've blocked → unbrick automatically when I leave
Right now my worry is: I brick in the morning, leave home, get to the office, and I'm still bricked. The current workarounds all have problems:
Setting up "allowed" apps conservatively → risk being stuck without something I need, plus the limit of 50 apps makes it hard to do this
Carrying the brick with me → easy to forget (I have ADHD)
Buying a second brick at £54 to keep at the office → don't want to, and leaving it there isn't safe (cleaners etc could pick it up)
Location-based auto-brick on arriving home + auto-unbrick on leaving home would solve this cleanly and matches how my actual addiction pattern works (location-driven, not time-driven).
