yes I would love this. like if the automation in IOS trigger when I leave my home to turn on Brick (like a specific setting)

Could incorporate BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) software & hardware. Instead of a NFC, utilize an anchor/beacon with adjustable range.
Now when you’re in the specified vicinity of your work/bathroom/bedroom/etc, the Bluetooth connection could trigger the designated Brick mode. Physical NFC could still be used to ignore or pause the BLE based blocking for a certain time period.
Once you’re out of range of you go back to being unbricked.

Brick in the Bathroom - Automatically
J
Jim Appleby
I'd like to break the habit of using my phone in the bathroom and in the bedroom. In the bathroom I'd like to automatically brick using my "everything" list. In the bedroom, I'd like to brick using my "night" list. I can imagine using another list when I'm on the couch - so I do the reading I tell myself I'd like to do, instead of the doom scrolling. Maybe it could have a confirmation dialogue before the phone is automatically bricked, or a user could choose not to have the confirmation dialogue in a strict mode.

Brick via Shortcut
Brian Roy
I would love the ability to brick my phone via an apple shortcut. I want to set up the new schedules, but want to make sure it only happens if I’m at home for example. It could be bad if I brick automatically, but I’m not home and have no way to unbrick if needed (outside of using emergency unbricks). If I could turn on brick mode via a shortcut I could add all sorts of conditions around it via apple automations or home assistant.

Location (merged with schedule) based Bricking
Nicholas Kelton
I really like using the schedule. I have mine set ~2am so it prevents me from waking up and scrolling and forces me to get up and out of bed. The only challenge I can see would be if I happen to not be at home (where brick is) and have forgotten about scheduling. So it would be neat if I could set it up to brick me at 2am IF i'm at home. (Do this based on location data.) Also I think it would be generally nice for people to brick based on location, right at the door to work or school.

ARRIVAL/LEAVING (GEOLOCATION) BRICKING

I would love if my phone would automatically brick when returning home, since the biggest hurdle to me being productive is getting sucked into my phone when I walk through the door.

Apple Shortcuts Brick/Unbrick functions
Braedon2011
Being able to set when a device will brick and unbrick using the multiple variables available in the shortcuts app would be extremely helpful.
Ex. At 9am daily, set device to Brick using Mode 1, but only if at this location. (Only brick when waking up at home)
Ex 2. When I arrive at the office, Brick my device on Mode 2 (and same for leaving)
