I just want to say thank you for this feature. I have been struggling to use my brick because it basically takes as much willpower to brick as it does to unbrick, which defeats the whole point. I have been getting all this BS instagram ads for knock off bricks talking about how they have this feature, and really didn't want to have to switch to their stuff. Thank you for listening, it's a great feature and really excited to use it. I have setup bricks every hour on the hour all day, and now it's exactly what I need.

For some reason I’m unable to select Friday and Saturday when scheduling- could you fix that?

Also would love to be able to schedule an end time

Kelley Glaister mine is the same! I tried turning to landscape but that didn’t work. I can’t scroll the days horizontally.

Can you explain how it schedules works? Does it restrict at the selected start time until midnight?
Jack Mitchell
Doreen Lopez It restricts at the start time until you unbrick it with your brick.

How could u ship this update with no end time? If i schedule a brick for 8am when does it automatically unbrick?
A
Alex
Kinako Abe The whole point of Brick is that you have to physically touch your Brick to unbrick. It makes perfect sense to me that the schedule Bricks your phone at a certain time, but you still have to physically unbrick it. Though I do see how an end time could be a nice feature too. I just think it's different than how Brick was originally designed.
Jack Mitchell
Alex Even if it just unbricked automatically at midnight. I can totally see setting a schedule, and then going on vacation and then having a bricked phone for the whole vacation. If it unbricked at midnight, that would at least let me disable the schedules the next morning.

Jack Mitchell I have a schedule to Brick my phone every night and don't want it to unbrick overnight. I want it to be bricked when I wake up.
But I did just go on vacation and wound up with a bricked phone because I hadn't disabled my schedule nor brought my Brick with me, and I had to use an emergency unbrick. So I do see the problem too.
Sara Bauer
HHeHello! My idea was to also have an end time, not just a start time

Jack Mitchell
Sara Bauer Yes please. I can't afford to be on vacation and have my phone turn into a brick with the brick back at home and no way to disable it. That would totally happen to me if I schedule it to brick every night before bed or to brick in the morning for work. This is completely unusable without being able to schedule the unbrick too

Reynold Hamar great !

Reynold Hamar Just checked it out, looks useful addition. Will there be a functionality for start and STOP TIME or just the start time?
Ofcourse, I understand that the Brick Device is what stops that schedule but having that added layer could also be beneficial.
Jack Mitchell
Reynold Hamar Or the ability to only have the scheduled brick start if you are in a particular location. I would have nightmares about being on vacation and having the phone bricked for the whole trip.

Reynold Hamar This is great! Thank you! I know people are complaining about the lack of an end time to schedules, but I understand that the point of Brick is to physically touch your Brick to unbrick.
I do have one piece of feedback about the schedules. I've noticed that when my phone automatically bricks at the scheduled time, the Brick timer on the lock screen doesn't show up. Once I go to the Brick app, the timer will pop up on the lock screen.
I've also noticed on a couple occasions where my apps weren't disabled at the scheduled time. Once I opened the Brick app, everything was immediately disabled as intended.

Reynold Hamar So glad this has been implemented, I had pretty much stopped using the brick becuase having self control in the first place was half the problem. been using scheduled bricking for the past week and its been an absolute game changer.
Would still love shortcut integration to change the state to on so that you could create custom triggers such as location when arriving at work or home but for now this has made the product really deliver on what I wanted it for!

Reynold Hamar I have a pretty big bug with schedules. When a schedule begins, the phone doesn’t seem to fully know it’s bricked until you open the brick app. This causes two things (one more important than the other). First and less important, you don’t see the brick timer on the lock screen. After a scheduled brick begins, the timer doesn’t show up and start counting until I open the brick app. More importantly, the brick block shortcut doesn’t work. So safari isn’t blocked until I open the brick app. That makes the schedule less useful already.
